Rosie's San Francisco Bay Sourdough

Reminds me of my grandma's bread back in the day!

Delicious bread, easy to order

As a native of San Francisco I have a high standard for Sourdough bread; if there isn’t sourdough starter it is not sourdough. Rosie’s Sourdough by Inked Bread is the REAL DEAL and it is absolutely delicious! I can have a taste of home even if I live far away now. True Sourdough flavor and texture in every bite. Highly recommend all Inked breads but Rosie’s Sourdough is by far my favorite.

We went to Costco a few weeks ago, and there was a booth with the sourdough bread. We brought home a two pack of sourdough and the Keto loaf. I cannot speak to the Keto loaf, because I did not eat it, but the sourdough....my children, husband, and myself, devoured it in about 3 days. My husband went back to Costco in search of this bread, and they did not have it. So, I got to work, I was looking at Target, Walmart, etc...no dice, out of stock. So, I went direct, and I bought not one, but three loaves. And I will re-purchase once those are gone.

Above all, it has no vinegar, nor does the baker add yeast to speed up the rising process, so since the baker is patient enough to let the sourdough starter do all the heavy lifting, this bread is a real sourdough. Might it be improved? Yes, if it were made with whole wheat flour instead of over-milled flower.
